Hotel Information: Grand Velas All Suites & Spa Resort All Inclusive is located in Nuevo Vallarta, a planned community of resorts and elegant villas with manicured gardens lining a series of winding canals. The hotel is built in contemporary Mexican style with white walls and red-tiled roofs. The high-ceilinged, spacious lobby has a thatched roof, a fountain, and lush tropical plants.

Insider tip: Banderas Bay is home to a large, permanent colony of Pacific bottlenose dolphins, as well as seasonal populations of pilot and gray whales, which bear their young in its protected waters. Giant manta rays also inhabit the bay, and sea turtles hatch along several area beaches in summer months. Wildlife-viewing excursions can be arranged through the resort.

Grand Velas has 267 suites with private, furnished balconies or terraces with ocean or partial ocean and garden views. DVDs may be borrowed from the video library, and pay movies are also available.
All suites feature furnishings in teak wood and light neutral tones with tropical color accents. Beds have down pillows and comforters, and the hotel offers an eight-pillow menu for a customized sleep experience. Turndown service is provided.
